Meet Adelina Stefan
Senior Career Coach (MCC – ICF) for Professionals Ready to Succeed in Switzerland
Hi, and thank you for being here.
If you found your way to this page, it usually means something is shifting. Curiosity often shows up before clarity, and that is a good place to begin if we ever work together.
As an introvert, I don’t enjoy speaking at length about myself. I am far more comfortable listening (you know, coach instinct). Still, there is something important about me I want you to know from the start.
I know, from lived experience, how difficult it can be to build a career in Switzerland as an expat.
I am Greek-Romanian, and spent most of my early childhood in the Romanian Carpathians and adolescence in Greece (where things are very different from Switzerland).
More than a decade ago, I moved to Switzerland to reunite with my love, who is now my husband and also my business partner, Adrian
What looked like a beautiful new chapter quickly revealed its complexity.
The transition was not gentle.
I often felt lost and isolated, unsure of the rules and unsure of myself.
There were moments when the system felt rigid, even unfair, and when finding my place seemed far more difficult than I had imagined.
Over time, I learned to adapt. I reinvented myself more than once and invested heavily in education, training, and professional development. I kept moving forward, even when progress felt slow, until the pieces slowly began to connect.
Switzerland is frequently described as difficult to access. Swiss culture is known as a coconut culture, firm on the outside, yet surprisingly soft once you find a way in. That metaphor stayed with me because it reflected my own experience.
It took me easily one year to truly understand the job market, the cultural nuances, and the unspoken expectations that shape professional life here. Looking back, I know it would not have taken that long if I had the perspective and guidance I now offer others.
This realization is what shaped my work.
Today, I help professionals shorten that learning curve. I support you in making clearer decisions earlier, with less doubt and more direction, so you can build a career in Switzerland that feels stable, aligned, and sustainable.
Why you should trust my guidance:
I am a Master Certified Coach, the highest credential issued by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This reflects more than 2500 hours of coaching experience and over 200 hours of advanced coach specific training, all grounded in professional ethics and real world application.
Over the years, I have worked with professionals from diverse industries and cultural backgrounds. I have also received more than 150 positive recommendations on LinkedIn, often highlighting both the depth and practicality of my approach.
Clients frequently describe my coaching as: empathetic, structured, and grounded.
They value the balance between care and clarity, and the space to explore what truly matters, beyond surface level advice.
You can’t control the wind, but you can always adjust the sail.
What I do outside my work: Hiking or cycling with my husband and my daughter, sailing in the Greek sea, and spending time outdoors whenever possible.
